gemasemesta.co is a design studio that is as much about its members as it is about Gema Semesta. Founded by the latter as an extension of what he does–draw and design–the studio’s work often sits at the intersection of art and design. Its practice includes, but is not limited to, creative direction and branding, illustration and graphics, product and environmental design, as well as exhibitions and events.

Here, each output reflects the people who have poured a part of themselves into it. From friends who embraced its vision early on and became genuine collaborators and clients, to those who were once part of the studio and still find ways to contribute, every relationship has shaped its journey. Today, the current team continues to define and redefine what the studio can be. Its growth feels, in many ways, intuitive.

As the studio turns six this year (2025), it aims to thoughtfully showcase its body of work and the different approaches behind each project. From fashion, food, music, hospitality to government bodies, every project is carefully considered out of simplicity and humility. As for the name, it comes from its website address, and it still feels right to this day.
